« Eclats d’émotion » - Emotion sparkles, this new exhibition title perfectly sums up your feelings when discovering for the first time the Paul Flickinger works.
Away from the idea of an introverted artist, Paul Flickinger has a vital need to communicate with others. Either through his smile, his words or his creations, everything in him is nourished by a youth he seems to have never left.
Paul Flickinger’s magical world is everything but an artificial or refuge world in reaction to te one that surrounds us. It is really our world. But his language to reveal it has sometimes the purity of children’s language and brings a bench of cheerfulness.
Thus, his vocabulary is sometimes taken from our everyday pieces, altered by time and ages and forgotten by our eyes. Used objects but never out of use for Paul Flickinger who likes assembling them together to tell beautiful stories.
Today, where the merry-go-round of life tends to disturb our vision, what a fresh wind this artist look is!

A night to consider the day differently.
Have you noted that during the night, things and ideas have new proportions?
To make you dream and be imaginative, the Grande Place invites you to a delicate crystal night.
On Saturday May 19th, at 6 pm, under the amazed eyes of first visitors, the Saint-Louis museum will suddenly metamorphose into a dream palace where chandeliers will endlessly sparkle: Purple, tender green, pink, golden, pastel-adorned…
On and off, from the deep heart of the museum, a mysterious musician will let a few melodies echo, making lights dance around him. Then he will disappear into the night.
Last year, more than 300 visitors strolled in the museum walkways – either hypnotised by the plays with lights or filled with wonder in front of the crystal art pieces.
A dream night… this year again, the Grande Place invites you in.
