Inspired by the Buddhist meditation medium, the Saint-Louis mandala combines the curves of a crystal ball with the branches of a star. Using the age-old millefiori technique, the multicolored chopsticks are laid down one by one with tweezers to create this particularly complex geometric pattern - the master glassmaker has no frame here. Only his skill enables him to create this soothing star, where white, blue and orange chopsticks are adorned with delicate red, green and white hearts, while flowers blossom in contact with shimmering circles.

Saint Louis is the only crystal factory in the world still able to make paperweights. They have been reinventing the art form every year since 1953 with creations born from the imagination and dexterity of the paperweight atelier’s master glassmakers made for collectors and new enthusiasts alike. Within the Atelier, two glassmakers are Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and one is a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
