ACCESS AND ACCESSIBILITY

Coming by car and parking
Two parking areas are available at the entrance of the Saint-Louis Museum, including spaces adapted for people with reduced mobility, strollers, or visitors with limited movement.
One parking lot has two PRM spaces and two bus spaces.
Please note: parking closes at the same time as the museum.
Coming by train
The closest stations to the museum are Wingen-sur-Moder and Diemeringen (TER line “Strasbourg – Sarreguemines – Saarbrücken”). A car is required from either station to Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Need a taxi? Our team will be happy to provide advice.
Physical accessibility
The museum, the manufacture, and the parking areas are accessible and adapted for visitors with reduced mobility.
Please note: no wheelchairs or elevators are available inside the museum.
The museum is entirely on one level with a gentle 953-meter slope. Visitors with reduced mobility are invited to follow the visit in reverse order to reach the ground floor more easily.
The manufacture does have an elevator.
The village tour is unfortunately not accessible for PRM and is not recommended for those with mobility difficulties.
Folding stools are available upon request for all visits – feel free to book them with the visitor services team.
Cognitive accessibility
The museum and the manufacture are not recommended for people sensitive to vertigo. The manufacture visit also involves noisy environments and temperature variations, which may be uncomfortable for some visitors.
Accessibility for the deaf and hard of hearing
The museum does not currently provide specific devices for the hearing-impaired.
Visual accessibility
Our visiting areas are not equipped for fully independent visits by people with visual impairments. However, assistance animals are welcome throughout the museum.
