VISIT THE MUSEUM

The museum showcases both the history and the present of Saint-Louis. Nestled in the heart of the Northern Vosges Regional Natural Park, it honors the legacy of France’s very first crystal factory.
The name “La Grande Place” is a tribute to the glassmakers, working collectively on the workshop floor called a “place”.
Its remarkable architecture enhances more than 2,000 unique pieces, combining heritage collections and contemporary creations. The museum invites you to explore a historical journey of expertise around a central well, illuminated by striking light fixtures, including an exceptional installation made of 120 lights.
From inside the museum, visitors can look through a window and watch the artisans at work shaping molten crystal.
