What are the care instructions for Saint-Louis products?

We recommend hand washing with a soft sponge and mild dishwashing liquid, followed by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth. To remove marks left by tannin or limescale deposits, pour equal parts white vinegar and lukewarm water into the object, leave to act as needed, then rinse. This can also be done before first use or after a period of non-use to preserve the brilliance of the crystal.

If using a dishwasher: select a moderate temperature program, use a small amount of powdered detergent, and ensure sufficient space between items.

To facilitate drying and prevent condensation marks, insert a long strip of absorbent paper inside the object, extending beyond the rim.

To avoid thermal shock, rinse tea or coffee cups with lukewarm water, and cool ice buckets with cold water before use. For items decorated with gold or platinum, dishwasher use and vinegar are not recommended.

Can I order a discontinued pattern or collection?

Crystal glasses #1, #2, #3, and champagne flutes from discontinued collections will remain available for purchase for 5 years.

How can I recognize a Saint-Louis product?

You will be able to identify a Saint-Louis product by a logo stamp on the bottom of the product. Please note, prior to the 1950s, Saint-Louis products were not consistently stamped with identifying marks. For assistance in identifying or valuing your Saint-Louis pieces we recommend reaching out to one of the following world-renowned auction houses, which often offer identification services free of charge. From 1936 onward, the signature evolved into an acid-etched stamp discreetly engraved beneath each creation.
