This small bottle, which might seem to be the preserve of experts, allows amateurs to add a special touch that makes all the difference to their home-made cocktails. Bitters are a family of concentrated alcohols: Angostura (an essential ingredient for the Manhattan cocktail and for certain variants of the Mojito, such as the creole Mojito), Peychaud’s and Fee brothers. A bitters bottle enables the dispensing of just a few drops of alcohol, and keeps the remainder fresh.
