“Clouds” is a paperweight based on the millefiori technique. A series of rods is exclusively made, cut to size and arranged to create the sky dotted with clouds. Some clouds are darker, while others, lighter allow the rising sun to appear beneath a crystal calotte.
This paperweight is composed of approximately 300 rods in the shape of clouds, 10 of which are in clear crystal and the rest in dark-blue crystal. This composition is encased in 4 layers of crystal, one of the lowest layers of which is in yellow crystal and is visible only through the transparent clouds.

Saint Louis is the only crystal factory in the world still able to make paperweights.
