The Versailles vase came into the world in 1921.
It was thus named to commemorate the treaty that brought an end to hostilities in the First World War, but also, and above all, as a reference to the era, the arts and the glory of the Sun King. In 1950 it broke with traditional aesthetic codes and acquired a square, star-cut foot.

Collection VERSAILLES
Created in 1950 the Versailles vase tests the strength and precision of Saint-Louis glassblowers and glasscutters: no less than seven to eight weeks of work are necessary for the creation of its largest model. The shape and the design, with the diamond and slice cuts, are inspired by the urns in the Garden of Versailles. The purest expression of the French style.
Created in 1950, the Versailles collection requires strength and precision on the part of the blowers and cutters: no less than seven to eight weeks of work are needed to manufacture its largest model. The vase's diamond-cut, flat-ribbed shape and decoration are inspired by the basins in the park at Versailles. The expression of a purely French style.
