The first, mass-tinted crystal, blends metal oxides directly into the molten glass; each shade is thus embedded in the very structure of the glass, resulting in a deep color that remains stable over time. The second, colored double-layered crystal, is reserved for exceptional pieces: a clear layer is blown inside a colored one, creating a depth of color. Together, these artisanal colored pieces demand a level of skill that few manufactures can match.
